저는 Columbus, GA 에서 20대에 미국으로 이주하신 이민자 부모님에게서 태어났습니다. 현재는 University of Denver 에서 심리학과 교수로 재직 중이며 또한 심리학자로 일하고 있습니다. 25개 이상의 주에서 온라인 상담을 제공하고 있으며 심리상담과 심리평가 분야의 석박사 학생들을 가르쳐 왔습니다.
사회인지이론을 바탕으로 인지행동 치료를 주로 하는데 이는 내담자의 전반적인 배경을 알아가며 도움을 드리는 것을 의미합니다. 모든 개인은 그들의 생각, 행동, 환경을 고려해서 이해해야 한다고 믿고 각자가 변화 할 수 있는 역량을 가지고 있으며 단지 그 변화의 과정에 함께하며 도움을 줄 사람이 필요하다고 생각합니다.
